E-Newsletter Gemex Header

Dear Valued GemEx Customer:

Welcome to the newsletter about the operation of the BrillianceScope. This newsletter will focus on why diamonds are rejected for invalid stone ID, missing color or clarity, missing weight and not centered.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions for topics we should cover in future months.

Best Regards,
The GemEx Team

Rejected Reason: Invalid Stone ID

This applies for companies that have set up one or more programs with specific prefixes and/or suffixes for their stone IDs. This typically requires a certain number of characters within the stone ID for each prefix/suffix, and in most cases we will not take the liberty of renaming the stone IDs ourselves.

Rejected Reason: Missing Color/Clarity

This applies for companies that require that the color and clarity gets entered into the BrillianceScope Analyzer program at the time of the scan, and this information is included in the GemEx LPA report. In this case the scan is rejected if either the color or clarity is missing.

Rejected Reason: Duplicate

This applies for companies that require that the carat weight gets entered into the BrillianceScope Analyzer program at the time of the scan, and this information is included in the GemEx LPA report. In this case the scan is rejected if the carat weight is missing.

Rejected Reason: Not Centered

When a stone is not centered on the screen in the BrillianceScope Analyzer program, or if the BrillianceScope Analyzer itself is not centered properly during a factory calibration, a scan may be rejected for ‘Not Centered’. If a stone is not centered, the light scales will not be accurate or repeatable. There is a range of tolerance for this, and depends mostly on the size of the stone being scanned. Larger stones are more obvious when they are not centered than smaller stones. Please refer to the following document by clicking on the link: Examples of Not Centered
