to a countertop monitor or loaded onto a website.
Light Performance Reports for the diamonds
of interest can then be accessed. Each stone is viewed under five different
light conditions and measured for brilliance (white light), fire
(color light), and scintillation (sparkle)... those desired characteristics
that determine a diamond's beauty; attract attention for the wearer;
and generate higher margins for the jeweler.
GemEx® Live Report™ is totally interactive: users
can change the display views; manipulate the images by magnifying
part of an image to examine details and related data; activate
in-motion images, or stop in-motion displays.
Live Report™ takes the GemEx Light Performance Report
to the next level. The Light Performance Report has provided consumers
with a document of their diamond’s brilliance, fire and sparkle.
This Light Performance is measured by the BrillianceScope®
Analyzer using patented imaging spectrophotometer technology.
The Light Performance Report shows the six light views used in
the measurement as well as the bar graphs for each category of
Light Performance. Live Report makes the GemEx Light Performance
Report interactive and provides the jeweler and consumer with
additional information.
Live Report also includes the diamond’s sixth image
which identifies the diamonds unique patterns the same
way a photograph identifies a person. It also displays the
diamond ID number and analysis number verifying that
the diamond being shown is the diamond that has been
analyzed. This detailed information gives customers
greater confidence that the purchase they make
is the best one for them. Also shown for
comparison are the stone’s dimensions and traditional
4C grading information.
GemEx® Live Report™ provides great benefits for
diamond manufacturers. The manufacturer can show a
particular diamond (including its image under various
lighting conditions); light performance ratings; visual
proof of its brilliance, fire and scintillation, its
dimensions and 4C information (either alone or in
comparison to any other diamond in the database) to
prospective customers anywhere in the world – without
the diamond ever leaving the manufacturer’s possession!
Yet another benefit of GemEx Live Report software for
both the manufacturer and retailer is that it also
functions as an inventory tool, saving time and labor.
Updating the database to delete sold diamonds and add
new inventory is as simple as printing the Diamond ID #
and pressing enter! Once that is done, all the
information and images automatically download to the
local database that can be accessed only with a user
number and pass code to preserve confidentiality.
